Chiisana Rakugaki ~ Tiny Scribble is re-published!!

Yuri's autobiographical cult literature Chiisana Rakugaki ~ Tiny Scribble was re-published from Tamausagi Books in 2007, after 10 years' awaited.

Her upbringing in Tokyo was a very unconventional one – As part of her samurai lineage inheritance, she practiced Japanese traditional arts which was unique in a modern Japanese childhood. Her late "flamboyant" parents were also passionate in teaching Yuri to value universal identity through travel abroad and uninhibited performance in social events. These elements, so drastically colorful, influenced Little Yuri to search for her own identity.

Some psychotherapists have referred her book as "one of the best self-help books for the client". That has led the original edition to be sold out from the used book stores in Japan before the new version came out. Sorry, it's only in Japanese (yet)!

『ちいさならくがき』復刊！！

知る人ぞ知るカルト本、下條ユリの波瀾に富んだ家族との生い立ちを綴った自叙伝『ちいさならくがき』がたまうさぎBooksより２００７年、１０年ぶりに復刊。

武士の家系の伝統を重んじつつも型破りな両親は、彼女に幼い頃より日舞、能、茶道、華道を習わせると同時に、“社会教育”と称し国内外のあらゆる遊芸三昧の場に付き添わせ、普遍性を尊重する国際人として育てる事に熱心だった。究極の和洋折衷、仁義vs不道徳、というカラフルな生い立ちの記憶が、少女に自己のアイデンティティを模索するきっかけを与える。

あるホリスティックな心療内科系のお医者様たちの目にとまった本書、どうやら治療への助けに効果あり！との名誉なお墨付き。（『心理療法の認知行動療法や、解決志向アプローチに通じるものがある』とのこと。）復刊前にはオリジナル版が古本市場で売り切れになり、一時値が上がった、という現象も。「復刊に際して」の1章を加筆し、装幀も新たになった“ある正直で非凡な一家のナマナマしい実話”、さて今のニッポンにどう受けいれられるか……？
